Stasys Kropas heads Association of Lithuanian banks since 2008. Before joining the Association Mr. Kropas worked as International Relations Director and additionally as Member of the Investment Committee of the Bank of Lithuania. From 2001 till 2003 in parallel with his work at the Bank of Lithuania Mr Kropas  performed duties of Advisor to the Executive Director at the Nordic-Baltic Office of International Monetary Fund. Before joining the Bank of Lithuania in 1993 Mr. Kropas served in the Government of Lithuania for 3 years.
Since 1996 Mr Kropas has been participating in number of governmental and international committees and programmes. Since 2008 Stasys Kropas is Member of the Executive Committee and Board of the European Banking Federation.   Mr Stasys Kropas is Associate Professor at Vilnius University Institute of International Relations and Political Science. Mr Kropas received an Economic Sciencies (Ph.D.) degree from Vilnius University. He speaks Lithuanian, English and Russian fluently.
Håkan Berg

Hakan Berg has had a 25 year long career at Swedbank including several operational roles in the Swedish Banking division. Håkan Berg has successfully managed challenging tasks during both economic upturns as well as recessions. Håkan Berg was responsible for asset valuation of the credit portfolio for Sparbanken during the Swedish financial crisis in the early 1990’s.

He most recently held the position as Head of Internal Audit. In March 2009 he has been appointed Head of Baltic Banking and a member of the executive management board.

Mr Berg has Masters Degree in Law.

Mr. Ozolins has the Corporate Banking Department, the Marketing and PR Department, the Legal Department, Human Resources Department, Security Department and the daughter company of the bank DnB NORD Līzings under his direct control.

Andris Ozoliņš has worked at DnB NORD Banka since September 1999, firstly as the member of the Management Board and then as the Deputy Chairman since 2001.

Andris Ozoliņš is also the head of Council of Latvian Commercial Banking Association and the Board of Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Matti Hyyrynen

Matti Hyyrynen joined the EBRD and took up the post of Head of Vilnius office in May 2001. In early 2006 he became responsible for the bank’s business in Latvia and following the closing of the bank’s office in Tallinn in late 2007, also Estonia.   Before joining the EBRD, Mr. Hyyrynen worked for 20 years in various areas of commercial banking. He started his banking career in 1982 in Finland. During 1985 – 88 and 1995 – 98 he worked in London and from 1998 to 2001 in Dublin.

In 1981 Mr. Hyyrynen obtained his degree in Mathematics from University of Helsinki.

He has served on the supervisory councils of Drobe and Teo Lt. Currently he is on the councils of Siauliu Bankas, Tallinna Vesi and Estonian Cell.

Dr. Art J. Ragauskas

Arthur Ragauskas is a Fulbright Fellow in Alternative Energy and a Fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science and TAPPI. His research program at Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking to understand and exploit innovative sustainable bioresources.

 

Ragauskas is program leader for a GA Tech Focused Research Program in Biofuels, BioPower and Biomaterials. In addition, he is Theme Leader for the GA Tech, Imperial College London and Oak Ridge National Laboratory AtlanTICC Alliance in Biomass to BioFuels, BioProducts and BioPower program and Team Leader for an industrial consortium program titled Fiber Modification/Fiber Fiber Bonding. Prof. Ragauskas has published +220 papers, patents and conference proceedings and was the 2008 recipient of 2008 William H. Aiken Research Prize.

 

He is an Associate Editor for Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining,  BioEnergy Research, Biofuels, Industrial Biotechnology, J. Pulp and Paper Science, Holzforschung, Taiwan Journal of Forest Service, J. Wood Chemistry and Technology and the editorial board of Sustainability and Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology.  Dr. Ragauskas has served on several advisory boards and review panels. Ragauskas has been an invited visiting professor at Universidade da Beira Interior, Portugal; Royal Institute of Technology/ STFi, Stockholm, Sweden and South China University of Technology, China.
Mario Nullmeier

Mario Nullmeier graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute MEI in 1992 with Master’s Degree, Nuclear physicist and engineer for heat and electricity generation. In 2000 he graduated from the University of Toronto with the degree of global executive MBA.

Mario Nullmeier has been employed by E.ON since 1992. From 1999 to 2005 he headed the E.ON Energy Representative Office in Warsaw/Poland. Since April 2005 he is in the current position. He is responsible for the projects in the Baltic States covering the core competences of the E.ON. Mario Nullmeier is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Estonian gas company Eesti Gaas and the Lithuanian regional distribution company Rytu Skirstomieji Tinklai (RST).
Ando Leppiman

Ando Leppiman holds in Eesti Energia the position of director of Renewable Energy Business Unit established to develop and operate energy production from renewables. Currently nine power production units are in operation and several under development. Before joining Eesti Energia on June 2007 Ando Leppiman worked 6 years for Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications with topics as energy and fuel markets, European Union relations. Also he has experience from positions in Estonian Wind Power Association, Tallinn University of Technology and several companies not related to energy.
Ando Leppiman holds M.Sc degree from Tallinn University of Technology and during studies took half year course on Renewable Energy and Hydrogen production in Germany.  

Johannes Jungbauer

Graduated University of Vienna with degree in Political Science.

As European Affairs Officer at the Euroheat & Power Mr Jungbauer is responsible for advocacy on a European level and coordination with MEPs, EC personnel as well as other political decision makers and opinion leaders. Duties include monitoring developments of the European energy and climate change policies and the management of the following Euroheat & Power Working Groups and Task Forces: Transport and Distribution, District Cooling, Customer Installation and Certification Board.

Before joining Euroheat & Power Johannes Jungbauer served at Eurokeys, Brussels, as Project Coordinator and was in charge of the dissemination of the CONCERTO initiative a sustainable energy project funded by the European Commission.

Māris Balodis

Maris Balodis is the Director of Research and Development of the Joint Stock Company “Latvenergo”. He is responsible for planning long-term technical development of the company, pre-feasibility studies for large investment projects in generation, research of electricity markets, preparing prognoses, research of new technologies and alternative energy sources, innovation, participation in international research projects in the field of electric power sector development in the Baltic Region as well as managing standardisation projects.

He has extensive experience in strategic research, working out development and investment programmes, financial planning and control, preparation and evaluation of investment projects in the power sector.

Mr Balodis was a member of the Supervisory Council of the Joint Stock Company “Rigas Siltums”.

Maris Balodis graduated from Riga Technical University; he has the degree of Master of Economics as well as the degree of Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. Now, he is studying for the degree of Doctor of Economics.

 

Raimonds Ķeirāns

Energy Efficiency Association of Latvia

Mr. Keirans has a wide professional experience in the field of management, engineering and supervision of the construction processes. Currently he is employed as a Member of the Board of “GIVA” , Ltd. Mr. Keirans has participated in and managed numerous significant projects for private, state and municipal clients. He has a certificate in management and supervision received from the Union of Civil Engineers of Latvia. More than 80 000 square meters of insulated walls and roofs have been built under his guidance.

As a Member of the Board of newly established Energy Efficiency Association of Latvia, Mr. Keirans will devote significant effort to introduce the certification and quality requirements in the field of energy efficiency.
