The Conference on Energy Efficiency and Renewables was held on 3-4 November 2008 in Riga, Latvia. The Conference was coorganized with the Ministry of Economics of Latvia in the frameworks of the 9th Baltic Economic Forum. Mr Kaspars Gerhards, Minister of Economics of Latvia, is the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 9th Baltic Economic Forum.
The conference was attended by:

- municipal representatives and institutions in charge of energy solutions;
- investors and banks representatives;
- fund managers;
- energy suppliers;
- energy consumers;
- project and technology developers;
- plant builders;
- input and raw material suppliers;
- representatives of green associations;

The Conference makes an important contribution to awarness raising for green energy and energy efficiency.
